Austin Blythe is an American football center for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He played college football at Iowa and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Blythe was a four-year starter at Iowa, appearing in 52 games. As a senior, he aided the Hawkeyes to a 12–0 start, earning a spot in the Big Ten Championship and the 2016 Rose Bowl.At the end of his senior season, he was named to the Rimington Award, which is given to the nation’s best center every year since 1983.

Blythe tied the knot with Kylie Ritchie, the daughter of his high school football coach. The two had known each other since elementary school, but it wasn’t until college that they began dating seriously.
Blythe and his wife, Kylie welcomed a boy into the world in June 2016. He and his wife again welcomed their second child, a daughter, into the world in January 2020.
