Aurélien Djani Tchouaméni (born 27 January 2000) is a French professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Real Madrid and the France national team. Tchouaméni made his first team debut for Bordeaux on July 26, 2018, in a 1-0 UEFA Europa League away win versus Latvian side Ventspils in the second qualifying round. On August 9, he scored his first goal in his senior club career, striking the game-winning goal in Bordeaux’s 3-1 Europa League away win over Mariupol.
Tchouaméni committed to Ligue 1 team Monaco on January 29, 2020, for a four-and-a-half-year contract. He didn’t score a league goal for his club team until approximately a year into his time there, when he scored the second goal in a 3-1 victory over Marseille on January 23, 2021. He contributed to his team’s 9th straight victory on May 14, 2022, by providing Wissam Ben Yedder with an assist. Tchouaméni was transferred to La Liga side Real Madrid on 1 July 2022, signing a six-year contract with the club on 11 June 2022. The reported transfer fee was €80 million, which might climb to €100 million due to additional fees.
