Atlanta Primus is the daughter of former Reading and Portsmouth footballer Linvoy Primus. Through her father, she is of Jamaican and Vincentian descent. Growing up she attended Itchen College in Southampton.
Jamaica is now tied with France at the top of Group F with four points, meaning it only needs a draw against Brazil to advance to the knockout stage. With a second loss, Panama was eliminated from contention.
