The Assemblies of God – Ghana has come out to refute any connection with Apostle James Tetteh Nartey and has clarified that he is not affiliated with the church in any way.
Apostle Nartey had made a public plea for financial assistance to cover his medical expenses as he has been confined to his bed due to a recurring illness. According to reports from Joy News, he had initially been diagnosed with prostate issues in 2016, recovered, but the condition resurfaced in 2023, leaving him bedridden for over a year.
In response to the appeal for help, the church released a statement stating that Mr. Nartey is not a pastor of the Assemblies of God, nor do they confer titles such as “Apostle.” However, they acknowledged that some individual churches within their network have been supporting him out of Christian compassion and brotherhood.
The church’s official statement was accompanied by a photo, emphasizing their stance on the matter. It is clear that there is no official connection between the Assemblies of God – Ghana and Apostle James Tetteh Nartey.
