Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, has held his first Town Hall Meeting with some key members on the Economic Management Team (EMT).
Held at College of Physicians and Surgeons on Thursday, April 3 under the theme ‘Our Progress, Our Status, Our Future,’ the vice president addressed Ghanaians on the current state of the economy.
But Ghanaians on Twitter, as usual, were divided on Bawumia’s address.
Below is how Twitter reacted to the maiden Economic Management Team Town Hall Meeting.
Ridiculous! Why did Ghanaians vote for the NPP? To come and tell us cock and bull stories about why the Cedi depreciation is good in their time but bad in someone else’s time? The least @MBawumia should do is to shush and hide his agama lizard head somewhere!#askBawumia

He only came to campaign. How much of the time has he spent on the economy? Its all been about promises and comparison. So now the exchange rate depreciation does not mean that your fundamentals are weak. That’s interesting. #BawumiaSpeaksAtLast

Prof Quartey: How does all the figures Bawumia put across translate to job creation??
Alan K: Everything Bawumia said is to create the foundation to start job creation.
Bawumia is just a waste of time Chale.

We are fixated on this liar of a vice president churning out untruths. Our leaders are so dumb to the extent that they will spend money renting billboards and decorating a venue for a so-called townhall meeting whilst our kids write exams set on blackboards #AskBawumia pic.twitter.com/Djn5szwYtJ
