Walters was born to Jamaican parents in Peckham, southeast London, His mother, Pamela Case, a local government official, reared him. From the age of four, he went to St. George CE Primary School in Camberwell. Later, he transferred to Pimlico Academy, formerly Pimlico School. He successfully finished his GCSEs, scoring well in each of the ten subjects.
Following a confrontation with a traffic warden in July 2001, Walters was discovered to have a loaded Brocock air pistol that had been modified to discharge live ammo. He was detained and sentenced to 18 months in a juvenile offenders’ facility in 2002 after being apprehended.
