Ghanaian rapper and music icon, Samuel Adu Frimpong, widely known as Medikal, has opened up about his admiration for legendary footballer Asamoah Gyan, declaring him as his ultimate favorite player.

Speaking on the Starr Chat Show with Bola Ray on Accra-based Starr FM, Medikal couldn’t help but shower praise on Gyan, emphasizing the immense impact he has had on Ghanaian football.

“Asamoah Gyan holds a special place in my heart as my all-time favorite player,” expressed the talented rapper.

With a remarkable 51 goals under his belt, Gyan has solidified his position as Ghana’s top scorer and is second only to Andre Ayew in terms of appearances for the national team.
Having recently delved into the political arena, Gyan has aligned himself with the ruling NPP’s campaign team in preparation for the upcoming 2024 elections.

Earlier this year, the former Sunderland striker was appointed as the chairman of the party’s Youth and Sports sub-committee, working closely with Vice President Dr. Bawumia, who is also the NPP’s flagbearer.

Transitioning from the football pitch to the political landscape signifies a new chapter in Gyan’s post-retirement journey, showcasing his influence that extends beyond sports.
In a surprising revelation, Gyan disclosed that if he hadn’t pursued football, he might have pursued a career in law or even music.

With a brief stint in the music industry, collaborating on hit songs with Castro in the early 2010s, Gyan expressed confidence in his potential as a successful lawyer, citing his strong skills in argumentation.

Despite his diverse accomplishments in both sports and music, Gyan remains resolute in his belief that he can excel in any field he chooses, embodying versatility, talent, and unwavering ambition.
