One of the top personalities at the Moscow Bolshoi Theatre has expressed his outrage when a renowned Ukrainian ballet performer died after being shelled by Russian invaders.
Artyom Datsishin, 43, has been fighting for his life in the hospital for nearly three weeks.
In a Facebook post, she expressed her “heartache” over the news.
Ratmansky, a former principal dancer in Kyiv and the Bolshoi Ballet’s artistic director, is presently an artist in residence at the American Ballet Theatre in New York. Datsyshyn died of “wounds acquired on February 26 when he came under Russian artillery fire,” according to him.
