Arsenal is said to have increased their stake in Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans and are ready to make a firm offer for the Belgian.
Despite interest from Manchester United Newcastle and other clubs, they are quite optimistic about completing a £30 million dollar deal for the 25-year-old Belgian international.
Manager Mikel Arteta has already spent £83 million dollars this summer to bolster his squad, bringing in Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner, and Marquinhos.
He is now focusing on strengthening his midfield and has been given permission to make his next market move. Arteta has now turned to Tielemans after Wolves’ £75 million dollar valuation of Portuguese playmaker Ruben Neves priced him out of the market.
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has been said to be hesitant to lose Tielemans, who has been a key player at Leceister since becoming the club’s record signing three years ago when he joined from Monaco.
However, with only one year remaining on his contract, the club has reluctantly accepted that they must cash in now rather than run the risk of losing him as a free agent next season.
