After a decade long divorce procedure, American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the mother of his four children, Maria Shriver, have officially divorced.
The divorce process started 10 and half years ago, but for some reason, the Hollywood couple were reluctant about signing their divorce papers.
However, on Tuesday, December 28, they brought their decade-long divorce struggle to a conclusion when they signed their divorce documents and officially parted ways as husband and wife.
As per TMZ report, the pair were reluctant about their divorce due to two things; a combination of lack of motivation and a very complicated property settlement agreement.
A private attorney finalised their divorce, which means Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are back to the single status after nearly four decades of marriage.
There’s also a report that due to zero prenup, there is an estimated $400 million up for split between the two. For properties, it is confidential.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver decided to call it quits in 2011 after the former was caught in a cheating scandal with their housekeeper, Mildred Baena.
Arnold has a son named Joseph Baena with Mildred.
