If you are a sports fan, and especially into American football, then you must have already heard about Tom Brady and how insanely talented the man is.
The 45-year-old American football legend has blazed the trail in the NFL, having impressively won the Super Bowl seven times. Brady made the headlines earlier this year when he announced that he was retiring, only to make a U-turn in March 2022.
He, however, remains one of the game’s greats. Brady is currently married to the supermodel Gisele Bundchen, with the couple tying the knot in 2009. They are blessed with two children – 12-year-old Benjamin and nine-year-old Vivian.
Brady also has a son with his ex-partner Bridget Moynahan, named John, which makes the NFL quarterback a father of three. Interestingly, Brady’s children are home-schooled.
The decision to homeschool the children was made when Brady parted ways with the New England Patriots to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020.
This meant the American footballer and his family had to relocate to Tampa, Florida. His current wife, Gisele Bundchen, said homeschooling was a soft-landing for their kids since they left all their friends back in Boston and had to adapt to a new area.
“I didn’t want to put them in a school, because it takes a lot to adapt to a new town,” Gisele told the British Vogue in May.
“They left all their friends in Boston – and just look at what the world was going through. I needed to create a soft landing.”
According to the model, she personally created a curriculum for the children, with the help of a teacher. The curriculum, she said, includes cooking and gardening.
For such a wealthy family, it is understandable why Brady and his wife would want to homeschool their kids. In truth, homeschooling is not a bad thing, provided the kids are disciplined enough and the parents keep a watchful eye on them to ensure they take their learnings seriously.
