The all-male rock band Foo Fighters was the brainchild of its lead singer, guitarist, songwriter, and record producer Dave Grohl.
Grohl (53 years) was already in a band called Nirvana but was dissolved in 1994 when Kurt Cobain, a member of the band committed suicide.
In that same year, Grohl formed the Foo Fighters band.
The band has won 15 Grammy Awards since its inception.
In 2014, Grohl, leader of the rock band was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a member of his former band Nirvana.
Together, the band was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021.
Unfortunately, Taylor Hawkins, a drummer in the band passed away in March 2022 which was a big blow to the whole band and its fans.
Are the Foo Fighters done?
The rock band was billed to perform before their fellow member Hawkins passed away on that same day in his hotel room.
As a result of that, the band released a statement on social media announcing their inability to perform at the show.
They also canceled all their scheduled tours to mourn their departed member Hawkins.
So it is fair to say that the rock band has not been dissolved.
