Simon and Adam Yates aren’t identical twins but good brothers.
The Bury brothers are incredibly simple to confuse because they both have the same appearance.
It can be challenging to recall which brother is competing where, who has accomplished what, etc.
Due to their distinct race schedules, it is unfortunate that the two brothers are rarely seen together.

In 2016, Simon’s third year competing on the WorldTour, he earned his first professional road victory.
Prueba Villafranca-Ordiziako Klasika, a Basque one-day race, was his first victory. Later that same year, he won a stage at the Vuelta (his first WorldTour win).
After testing positive for terbutaline at that year’s Paris-Nice, Simon was subject to a doping suspension in 2016.

Later, the UCI admitted that the violation wasn’t intentional, but it nevertheless barred Simon from racing for four months, assuring that he wouldn’t be able to compete in the Tour de France.
Adam won his first WorldTour race at the 2015 Clasica San Sebastian, a victory he was unaware of until beyond the line.
Just 3.5 kilometers from the finish line a year prior, he had crashed out of the leading group.
He has triumphed at the Criterium du Dauphine and a stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico (2018). (2018).
At the 2016 Tour de France, Adam took home the best young rider’s jersey.
Adam fell on the 2016 Tour’s stage 7 after being struck by a deflating arch with 1 km to go.
He has won a stage at the Tour of the Basque Country and the Volta a Catalunya in 2019.
