Offset (born Kiari Kendrell Cephus on December 14, 1991) is an American rapper. He rose to prominence as a member of the rap group Migos, alongside his cousin Quavo and the late Takeoff, Quavo’s nephew.
Offset, 21 Savage, and Metro Boomin released their collaborative album Without Warning in 2017. The album’s lead track, “Ric Flair Drip,” charted in the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. He would also work with Drake on Metro Boomin’s single “No Complaints.”
His first top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist came in 2018 when he appeared on Tyga’s song “Taste,” which went on to receive a 7 Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
He collaborated with Travis Scott on Kodak Black’s song “Zeze” that same year, which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Offset’s first solo studio album, Father of 4, was released in 2019.
His second album as a solo artist, “Clout,” featuring his wife Cardi B, was released as a result of the album and peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. The song was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Performance.
