Are any of the Neville Brothers still alive?

The Neville Brothers, an American R&B/soul/funk band, were established in 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Art (1937-2019), Charles (1938-2018), Aaron (1941), and Cyril (1948) Neville, the Neville family’s four brothers, came together in 1976 to take part in a recording session for the Wild Tchoupitoulas, an Indian Mardi Gras band led by the Nevilles’ uncle, George Landry (“Big Chief Jolly”).

Their debut album, The Neville Brothers, was released by Capitol Records in 1978.

The other brothers all lived in New Orleans until Cyril and Aaron departed the city in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, except for Charles, a citizen of Massachusetts.

Aaron temporarily moved to Austin at the invitation of his late friend, the illustrious proprietor of blues clubs Clifford Antone.

Are any of the Neville Brothers still alive?

Yes, Aaron and Cyril are alive. After Hurricane Katrina, they ceased touring, but they returned in 2008 for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, playing the closing slot that had been reserved for them for years.
