Joshua Taylor Bassett, an American actor, singer, and songwriter, was born on December 22, 2000. He is well-known for playing Ricky Bowen, the series’ lead character, in High School Musical: The Musical. He is 22 years old.
Years before he played Ricky in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, at the age of 7, he had his first experience with musical theater as J.V. Jock No. 2 in a community theater production of the musical.
Since then, Bassett has played the lead in more than 30 musicals. When he was 16 years old, he came to Los Angeles to begin his acting career and temporarily lived in his car to make ends meet.
