Ben Anderson, the National Organizer of the All People’s Congress (APC), has announced that the party will continue to field Hassan Ayariga, its 2020 Presidential Candidate, as its candidate in this year’s general election.
In an interview with the Daily Graphic, Mr. Anderson stated that Dr. Ayariga was the party’s finest choice and that most party members supported her.
“The majority of our party members want our candidate to lead the party because he is the best candidate in the nation thus far. We should honor him as our flag bearer, he declared.
On March 8, 2024, the day of the party’s national executive elections, he declared that the party would declare Mr. Ayariga as its nominee for the general election of 2024.
With Frank Yaw Kuadey serving as his running mate, Mr. Ayariga ran for president of the APC in the 2020 election. He received 7,138 votes, or 0.05 percent, of the total votes cast in an election that featured 11 other candidates.
