APC chieftain, Cairo Ojougboh, slumps and dies while watching the AFCON match

The popular chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, known to be the APC, and a former member of the Executive Committee of the Representatives who was originally known to have represented the Ika federal constituency of Delta State, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, is dead.

According to a family source, the late politician died on Wednesday, the 7th day in the year 2024, while watching the AFCON 2023 semi-final match between Nigeria and the South African team known as Bafana Bafana.

Quoting stated, “As soon as a penalty kick was awarded against the Super Eagles, thus the Nigerians, during the AFCON match with the South African guys on Wednesday, the 7th of February, with the aforementioned semi-final clash. He fainted, and that was all for him.

It was also noted that he got frightened and fell, which ended his life during the awarding of the penalty kick.

Per a family statement, he was noted to be highly successful with the Super Eagles. He has had a lifelong love for football and was thus once a footballer before hitting his political life.
