Antonio D. Charity is a native of Virginia’s Surry County.
He is the child of Emily M. Charity and James D. Charity, Sr. In actuality, he is the eldest of their 12 kids.
He earned a B.F.A. in theater from Howard University’s College of Fine Arts. While still a student at Howard University, he landed his first television appearance as a guest performer on NBC’s Homicide.
After graduating, he relocated to New York City and has since made countless appearances in TV shows, movies, commercials, and stage productions. Tige Johnson Charity of Baton Rouge, Louisiana is his wife.
He met Tige while she was on vacation in the New York City region at Sylvia’s soul food restaurant in Harlem. Later, they moved to Los Angeles. Antonio is a volunteer with Kids In The Spotlight (KITS), a charity started by Tige Charity, in addition to being a career actor. To assist children in the Los Angeles foster care system in writing and acting in their own short films, Tige founded KITS.
