Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a presidential assistant, has emphasized the importance of women in men’s lives, stating that women should be recognized with men’s longevity.
Aboagye, who is also the spokesperson for the Mahamudu Bawumia for President 2024 campaign, insisted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was not opposed to the anti-LGBT+ Bill.
Contributing to the Bill discussion on TV3 (March 23, 2024), he strongly opposed same-sex relationships before highlighting the importance of women to him and his peace of mind.
“To inform you that I support gayism. Do you understand what ladies mean to me? Do you know how much I like and value women for what they provide to us as men?”
According to him, politicians are stressed all day until the evening and midnight, when they receive phone calls from constituents and subordinates.
“The only thing in this world that calms our nerves and reduces our stress and ensures that all these things do not knock us out of the face of the world earlier than God has given us, is women,” he went on to say.
His principal, Vice President Bawumia, has repeatedly been accused of remaining mute on the anti-LGBT+ Bill, which has made headlines since Parliament unanimously passed it.
It has remained relevant following a letter from the presidency urging the Clerk of Parliament to suspend and desist from submitting the Bill to the president, citing two examples.
