The pedestrian who was killed by an automobile in Rocklin on Saturday night has been identified.
The Natomas Unified School District acknowledged that high school basketball star Anthony Williams was the pedestrian in the automobile accident.
Many people liked Williams, notably his coach Chris Collins, with whom he had lived from the age of ten until he became eighteen.
Williams was selected one of Sacramento’s top 50 high school basketball players, according to Collins.
This season, Inderkum made it all the way to the San Joaquin Section playoffs.
All of this was accomplished by William during his senior year.
Chaplains and counselors will be on hand at Inderkum tomorrow to help kids cope with the tragedy.
His family and siblings have yet to make a public remark on his death.
The fatal collision occurred on Lonetree Boulevard and Adams Drive in Rocklin on Saturday night. The driver who caused the accident cooperated with the police.
The investigation is still underway. On Monday, Powell said, grief counselors would be present at the school for students.
