Another NDC executive threatens violence during 2024 elections

A National Democratic Congress (NDC) member who is opposed to the current administration is shown on camera threatening to go to war if his party is not certified the winner of the next elections.

Although the NDC is aware of attempts to rig the election, he claims that if the opposing political party is not recognized the winner, there will be all-out violence.

The NDC member, whose identity is currently unknown, claimed to have notified John Dramani Mahama of their intention to enact laws on their own in the event that the Electoral Commission rigs the results in favor of the ruling NPP.

“We are organized, and we will teach NPP how to win elections, whether he likes it or not,” we have informed Mahama. We’ve defeated the NPP in more elections. We’re going to kill people in a war. Ghana will go to war if they try to rig the elections, he declared.

Before the 2024 elections, an NDC member had previously threatened violence.

Speaking on OKAY FM in Accra, a national officer of the political party urged opposition members to arm themselves with sharpened cutlasses.
