A shooter opened fire inside a bowling alley in Lewiston, Maine, causing scared locals to run for their life in a horrific mass shooting.
Fearful people can be seen running past residential residences amid the turmoil, according to surveillance footage from the area.
Robert Card, a U.S. Army Reserve, is the suspect. He is accused of shooting up to 18 people dead and injuring 13 others with an AR-15-style rifle.
A juvenile bowling league included several of the casualties, and at least one kid sustained injuries. An extensive police manhunt is in progress to apprehend the attacker.
Card was recognized as the culprit by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, which released CCTV images of him shooting at a bar and grill after he entered the bowling alley.
Card was a former military man and skilled guns instructor who had displayed alarming conduct, including making threats against the National Guard Base and going through auditory hallucinations.
He spent two weeks in a mental health facility before. Card is still at large as of right now, and people are advised to use caution because he is thought to be armed and dangerous.
In the impacted regions, businesses and schools are closed, and locals are encouraged to stay indoors.
