Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, highlife legend and film producer, has bemoaned the disinterest or impartiality demonstrated by musicians unions and musicians towards the funeral and burial of the late Anokye Supremo.

The Daddy Lumba look-alike who is legally known as Emmanuel Baffoe Anokye’s final funeral rite was performed on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Atomic Energy Park in Accra.

However, the turn out on the part of musicians unions like GHAMRO and MUSIGA, and some musicians were low.

This infuriated Kaakyire Kwame Appiah who called them out for discriminating the late musician.

“MUSIGA and GHAMRO haven’t arrived yet. What time will they come?” he questioned.

“Do they want to attend only prominent people’s funerals?”

“During my tenure in office as the vice president of MUSIGA, we attended non-members funerals. Anokye Supremo has contributed to the industry and everyone can attest who what is stopping our musicians from attending his funeral?” he added.
