Anne Heche has made a name for herself in a variety of film and television projects over the years, but her role as a mother quickly became her favorite.
The Ohio native first added to her family in 2002, when she welcomed her son Homer. Three years after the birth of their first child, Heche and Coleman Laffoon called it quits. The Another World alum married James Tupper, and their son Atlas was born in 2009.
Heche later opened up about being a single mother of two young boys after her divorce from Tupper after nearly a decade.
“It’s true what they say: girls like to sit and color, and they’re nice enough to let you comb their hair.” “Boys — my boys and every other boy I know — are active, active, active,” she told Breezy Mama in 2013. “I’m doing things I never thought I’d be doing.” They enjoy anything involving a ball. Boys, on the other hand, are cuddlers and lovers. When they are tired, they enjoy sitting and cuddling with their mother. That’s a boy’s blessing.”
As her children grew older, the Emmy winner continued to adore them.
In honor of her youngest son’s 13th birthday, Heche took to social media to express her gratitude for his influence in her life.
Us Weekly confirmed in August 2022 that the Return to Paradise star was involved in a car accident. The Los Angeles Police Department stated at the time that a driver of a Mini Cooper ran off the road when approaching an intersection. The vehicle then collided with a house and caught fire.
