On Friday, a lady allegedly struck a home in Los Angeles’ Mar Vista area with her automobile, causing both the car and the home to catch fire.
According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Anne Heche, an actress, was the driver.

According to Jeff Lee, the public information officer for the Los Angeles Police, the driver was moving at a fast speed when she veered off the road and hit a house.
The car caught fire after the collision, and the driver sustained burn injuries.
The Los Angeles Fire Department’s paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital in a critical condition. Firefighters needed over an hour to “access, contain, and completely extinguish the stubborn flames within the severely damaged.
Heche first became well-known for her dual roles as twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love on the soap opera “Another World,” where she appeared from 1987 to 1991.
For this role, she won a Daytime Emmy Award. She then appeared in “Donnie Brasco,” “Six Days Seven Nights,” and “Wag the Dog,” among other movies.
To Heche’s professional chagrin, her friendship with Ellen DeGeneres in the late 1990s attracted a lot of media attention at the time.
