Scoular makes an appearance in the Eon Productions Bond film series two years after playing Ruby in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, as Buttercup in the comedy Casino Royale (1967).

A Countess from Hong Kong (1967), Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush (1968), Great Catherine (also 1968), Doctor in Trouble (1970), The Adventurers (1970), Adventures of a Taxi Driver (1976), and Adventures of a Private Eye are some of her more film credits (1977).

Angela Scoular’s cause of death: What happened to Leslie Phillips’ second wife?

Scoular suffered from anorexia nervosa and sadness. 1992 saw her make an effort in life. She was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in March 2009; although she eventually received a cancer-free verdict, she had been worried about the disease returning in the months before she passed away.

She was detained for drunk driving a few weeks before she passed away. She ingested acid drain cleaner and poured it on her body, resulting in fatal burns to her digestive tract and skin, which led to her death on April 11, 2011.

Scoular did not commit suicide, according to the coroner, who noted that she “killed herself while the balance of her mind was upset.”
