Scottish footballer who played as a goalkeeper, Andrew Lewis Goram, popularly known as Andy Goram has passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the age of 58. His death was announced by the Rangers.

Born in Bury, Lancashire, England, on April 13, 1964, Goram started his career with Oldham Athletic and Hibernian, but he is best remembered for playing for Rangers during the 1990s when he earned the nickname “The Goalie”. As previously stated, the Rangers announced the death of their legendary goalkeeper. The club’s announcement reads: “Rangers Football Club are today deeply saddened to announce the death of our legendary goalkeeper, Andy Goram, following a short battle with cancer. The thoughts of the directors, management, players, and staff are today with Andy’s family, and would ask that their privacy is respected at this sad time. Funeral details will be communicated in due course.”

Following the announcement by the club, it is said that Goram was battling cancer, hence he was having cancer and that led to his demise.
