Deceased music icon, Andy Fletcher’s music group Depeche Mode recently revealed his real cause of death to the public on Instagram.

Depeche Mode, with 14 studio albums and 55 singles, has been a fixture on the UK charts throughout the 1980s, breaking through in the United States by 1985. “People Are People,” “Personal Jesus,” and “Master and Servant” were radio singles for the synth quartet, while “Walking in My Shoes,” “I Feel You,” “Policy of Truth,” and its lone U.S. top 10 “Enjoy the Silence” all made No. 1 on Billboard’s Modern Rock chart.

Andy was 60, now what killed him.

According to the article posted on Instagram, the band revealed the cause of death at the request of Fletcher’s family.

“We got the medical examiners’ report a few weeks ago, which Andy’s family has wanted us to share with you now. On May 26, Andy had an aortic dissection at home.

So, despite the fact that he died way too quickly, he died naturally and without extended agony”, the band stated.

Aortic dissection is a dangerous disorder in which the inner layer of the body’s major artery tears (aorta). Blood rushes through the rip, forcing the aorta’s inner and middle layers to break (dissect).

Aortic dissection is generally fatal if the blood passes through the outer aortic wall.
