American, André Leon Talley was Vogue’s former longtime creative director and a fashion icon in his own right, died according to a statement on his official Instagram account.
According to his longtime friend and Houston resident Dr. Yvonne Cormier, André Leon Talley died at the age of 73 of complications related to the COVID virus.
Talley was a towering figure in every way, standing 6-foot-6 inches and speaking with a booming voice. He was frequently seen sitting in the front row of elite fashion shows alongside editor-in-chief Anne Wintour, and his influence on fashion lasted long after he left Vogue in 2013.

The family has yet to make formal arrangements for the deceased’s burial and funeral service. When information about when he will be buried becomes available, you will be notified.
