Andre Ayew and Al Sadd part ways on mutual ground

After a year and a half of playing together, Andre Ayew and Qatari champions Al Sadd have decided to part ways.

The Ghanaian captain left English club Swansea City in 2021 and signed with Al Sadd as a free agent.

According to Al Sadd, an agreement has been reached to terminate the 33-year-two-year old’s contract, which was due to expire in June of this year.

“OFFICIAL Al-Sadd SC has reached an agreement with Andre Ayew to terminate his contract with the club by mutual consent. Thank you, Andre.”@AyewAndre @#77 Al Sadd SC | نادي السد.

By mutual agreement, Andre Ayew’s contract with the team Al-Sadd SC has been canceled.
Around noon on Sunday, the club’s social media accounts confirmed the news on Twitter.,

In his first season, Ayew scored 22 goals in 38 games for Al Sadd, taking home the Qatar Stars League and Emir Cup.

His alleged desire to return to Europe has been linked to boyhood club Marseille.
