Anastasia exemplifies tenacity and a “can do” mentality. She is determined not to allow her previous experience define who she is and is ready to write and share tales that inspire others to follow in her footsteps.
Over a hundred feature film projects have featured Anastasia. When she appeared in “The Equalizer” in a supporting role with Denzel Washington in 2014, she got her big break. This chance opened a lot of doors, and she is walking through them one step at a time.
Anastasia divorced and gave up dancing to raise her sons, who are now 12 years old after a marriage that resulted in twin boys went sour.
As they grew older, Anastasia’s enthusiasm drew her back to the stage. Unfortunately, after dance class one fateful evening in March 2010, Anastasia was hit head-on by a drunk driver whose car then flipped over in midair.
Anastasia was no longer able to dance like she had done since she was a child. She was surrounded by love and support from family and friends, which helped her heal and refocus her energies toward acting after much anguish, counseling, and healing.
Although Anastasia Mousis-Sanidopoulos was raised in Belmont and Watertown, Massachusetts, she was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
She first performed after taking dancing classes at the O’Brien Dance Studio, whose owner, Joan O’Brien, inspired Anastasia to follow her goals.
Although her teacher has since died away, she instilled the drive that keeps Anastasia active to this day. Among other renowned teachers, Anastasia had training with Ian McKenzie and Sheryl Murakami.
