Although she was raised in Belmont and Watertown, Massachusetts, Anastasia Mousis-Sanidopoulos was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
The O’Brien Dance Studio, whose founder, Joan O’ Brien, encouraged Anastasia to pursue her dreams, provided her with her first performing experience.
Although her teacher is no longer with us, she instilled in Anastasia the drive that keeps her active to this day. Anastasia has received instruction from a number of renowned teachers, including Ian McKenzie and Sheryl Murakami.
Anastasia divorced and gave up dancing to raise her sons, who are now 12 years old, after a marriage that resulted in twin boys went sour.
As they grew older, Anastasia’s enthusiasm drew her back to the stage. Unfortunately, after dance class one fateful evening in March 2010, Anastasia was hit head-on by a drunk driver whose car then flipped over in midair.
Anastasia was no longer able to dance like she had done since she was a child. She was surrounded by love and support from family and friends, which helped her heal and refocus her energies toward acting after much anguish, counseling, and healing.
Anastasia’s Husband
It’s on record that Anastasia was once married and had two boys (twins). Her marriage however went sour which resulted in the breakup.
Unfortunately, details of her ex-husband and children have not been given. We will make details of her family known to you in our next article when we have it.
