Anastasia Sergeyevna Potapovam is a Russian tennis player who was born on March 30, 2001. Potapova is a former junior No. 1 and the 2016 Wimbledon Championships girls’ singles winner, defeating Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska in the final.
Potapova made her Grand Slam debut in the qualifying draw of the 2017 Wimbledon Championships, defeating Elizaveta Kulichkova to qualify for the main draw.

She won her first WTA championship as a qualifier at the 2022 Istanbul Cup, upsetting third seed and World No. 29 Veronika Kudermetova. As a result, she will return to the top 80 in the rankings on April 25, 2022, as World No. 78.
Potapova reached the quarterfinals of the Lausanne Open in July when she was defeated in straight sets by Serbian Olga Danilovic. Despite this, her new career-high rating of No. 63 was secured.

She did, however, reach her first Grand Slam quarterfinal in doubles with Rebecca Peterson, however, they were defeated by eventual finalists Beatriz Haddad Maia/Anna Danilina after leading by a set and a break.
She was eliminated in the first round of the St. Petersburg Trophy, the Monterrey Open, and the Indian Wells Open, and her inability to defend her points from Dubai in 2021 dropped her out of the Top 100. Nonetheless, she and Vera Zvonareva reached the doubles semifinals in St. Petersburg.
