On September 14, 1983, Mitch and his then-wife Janis had their daughter Amy when he was employed as a cab driver and window panel installer.
He also has a 1979-born son named Alex who is older. A few months after Amy’s passing, in September 2011, he gave his first tearful interview on an American chat program.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper, he discussed how difficult it had been for him to accept Amy’s death. He said: “As I stood up to give the eulogy at her funeral, a black butterfly flew in.
