American television journalist for ABC News Amy Joanne Robach was born on February 6, 1973.
She serves as the co-host of 20/20 and the fill-in anchor for Good Morning America during breaking news. She was an anchor on MSNBC, a national correspondent for NBC News, and a co-host of the Saturday edition of Today. She has been David Muir and 20/20’s co-anchor since May of this year.
In 1995, Robach began working for WCBD. Then, in 1999, Robach left the station and began working at WTTG in Washington, D.C. She later moved to MSNBC, where she spent four years. During that time, Robach anchoring Weekend Today, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and Morning Joe for two hours each morning. In July 2007, she was chosen to co-anchor Weekend Today. May 19, 2012 marked her last day working for Weekend Today before announcing her move to ABC News. Robach first appeared as a correspondent on ABC’s Good Morning America. On March 31, 2014, she was appointed as the show’s news anchor. Robach joined 20/20 as a co-anchor in 2018.
In March 2020, Robach began hosting Pandemic: What You Need to Know on ABC, a daytime program initially focused on the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States and airing in place of Strahan, Sara, and Keke. GMA3: What You Need to Know eventually replaced Strahan, Sara, and Keke indefinitely, with Robach remaining as host. Robach was fired from GMA3 in December 2022 after it was revealed that she was having an affair with her married co-anchor T. J. Holmes.

On Robach’s 37th birthday, February 6, 2010, they married at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, which is adjacent to the Hudson River. It was reported that she and Shue divorced in August 2022, before Robach’s relationship with her GMA3 co-anchor T. J. Holmes became public.
