Amy Grant cancelled her fall tour on Friday, citing scheduling conflicts. Christian artist is still recovering from a bicycling accident that required hospitalisation last month.
The soon-to-be Kennedy Center honoree had previously postponed her August tour dates to recover from her injuries, and she has now extended the postponements to her September and October dates as well. According to a statement from Grant’s management team, those shows have been rescheduled for early 2023. She plans to hit the road again in November for a holiday tour with Michael W. Smith.
Amy’s manager, Jennifer Cooke, said in a news release, “Amy is getting stronger every day.” “She wants to be able to give 100% when she tours, and unfortunately, we do not believe that will be the case by the time rehearsals for the fall dates begin,” the statement continued.
Amy Grant’s fall tour dates have been postponed until 2023 when she recovers from a bicycling accident.
“Amy would like to express her gratitude for all of the good wishes and prayers she has received since the accident.” She senses the collective good will be extended her way. Thank you very much.”
