Amy Marina Bailey is a ballerina and professional actress. She was born on October 24, 1975, and is a citizen of both the United States and the United Kingdom. She portrayed Queen Kwenthrith on the History channel’s drama series Vikings.
Bailey was raised in Houston, Texas, where she began her dance training with the Houston Ballet at a young age. As a teenager, she began her dancing career with the Joffrey Ballet in New York and later performed with the London Ballet Theatre in England. She trained with Cirque du Soleil instructors and performed as an acrobat and aerialist around the world for a total of six years, all while pursuing a career as a professional ballerina in the United Kingdom and other countries.
Bailey started her acting career in stage productions. She is regarded as a triple threat, and several of the leading roles she has played have earned her praise. Both her roles in Guys & Dolls and Play It Again, Sam were nominated for the Off West End Award for Best Actress.
