American Bully XL was the dog that bit a 43-year-old lady who was killed in a dog attack in South Yorkshire, according to police.
The woman was attacked by the animal at a house on Masefield Road in West Melton, Rotherham, on Friday night. Despite paramedics’ best attempts, the woman was declared dead at the spot.
Currently hospitalized is a 42-year-old male who was injured in the hands, abdomen, and face.
At the time, there were two dogs in the house, and neither was a prohibited breed.
They were both removed from the property and South Yorkshire Police said the dog involved in the attack had “not been euthanised at this stage”.
