Ghanaian versatile artist Amerado has released the official music video for “Sika Mframa,” one of the standout songs from his latest EP, The Price Of Becoming.
Directed by Ghanaian filmmaker Kojo Myles, the visual brings to life the message of perseverance, hope and the journey towards a better life that sits at the heart of “Sika Mframa.”
The song, produced by M.O.G Beatz, reflects on the realities of the hustle and the desire for financial freedom. At its core is the Ghanaian expression “Sika Mframa”, the wind of money, used as a metaphor for the kind of breakthrough many people work and pray for.
The accompanying video tells a simple but powerful story of struggle and transformation. It follows Amerado through the difficult stages of life, highlighting the choices, sacrifices and determination that come with chasing a dream.
Rather than leaving Ghana in search of greener pastures, the story follows a young man who chooses to stay, work hard and build something for himself. Through perseverance, his fortunes eventually change, offering a reminder that difficult seasons do not last forever.
A central idea running through the visual is the phrase “Sika Mframa”, which represents hope in the middle of hardship, the belief that no matter how difficult today may be, a good day will eventually come.
Kojo Myles complements the song’s message with a visual treatment that captures both the struggle and the reward. The video keeps the focus on Amerado’s journey, allowing the story to connect naturally with the everyday experiences of young Ghanaians who are working towards a better future.
“Sika Mframa” forms part of Amerado’s recently released eight-track EP, The Price Of Becoming, a project centred on the experiences, sacrifices, growth and lessons that have shaped his journey. The song sits alongside records including “Chacha,” “Obiaa Nte Mase,” “Fountain” featuring Nigerian artiste Skales, “Return of the Lunatic 2,” “Keteke” and “Pharaoh (Remix)” featuring Epixode and Ras Kuuku.
The release continues Amerado’s tradition of using music to tell stories that connect with everyday Ghanaian life, while showing another side of his versatility beyond straight rap.
With the official video now out, fans can experience the full story behind “Sika Mframa” and see Amerado’s journey from struggle to breakthrough brought to life on screen.
