Ameer Abdullah, an American football running back with the National Football League’s Las Vegas Raiders, was born in Homewood, Alabama on June 13, 1993.
Ameer was not just the best in the South area but he also scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic in 2010.
He is the youngest of nine children and the son of Kareem and Aisha Abdullah. In college, he majored in history. His father, Kareem, is an Imam and counsels his son on matters of religion.
After a successful time playing college football at Nebraska, The Detroit Lions selected Abdullah as the 54th overall choice in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was chosen that year as the fourth running back.
