Social media influencer, Elorm Ababio, known popularly as Ama Governor, has finally received the call to the Ghana Bar after being denied entry in both 2022 and 2023.

The announcement was made by the Ghana School of Law on May 21, 2024. Ama Governor will be joining 181 other individuals who are set to be called to the bar on May 31, 2024.

However, it is important to note that the list of individuals eligible to be called to the Bar is subject to change as determined by the General Legal Council.

This development comes after Ama Governor faced two consecutive denials to be called to the Bar in 2022 and 2023. The General Legal Council cited “conduct unbecoming of an applicant to be called to the Bar” as the reason behind the initial refusals.

The decision sparked a public debate, with many questioning the basis for the denial. While some praised the General Legal Council for their stance, there was also significant backlash from social media users and supporters of Ama Governor.

After a series of legal battles, Ama Governor has now been granted the opportunity to pursue her dream profession as a lawyer. The news has been met with excitement on social media, with fans eagerly anticipating her official induction on May 31.

It will be a momentous occasion for Ama Governor as she takes this next step in her legal career.
