Former Ghana Football Association Club Licensing Board Chairman, Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh, has called on Ghanaians to give Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, the support and space he needs to work before passing any premature judgments.
After the dismissal of Chris Hughton following Ghana’s disappointing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, Otto Addo was re-appointed as the head coach in March. The former Borussia Dortmund talent trainer had previously guided Ghana to qualify for the 2022 World Cup by defeating Nigeria in a thrilling playoff.
In an interview with Asempa FM, Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh emphasized the importance of allowing Otto Addo to execute his plans and tactics without interference. He stated, “You can’t judge somebody without seeing what he can do. Give him the chance and let him do the job. If he doesn’t perform well, then you can consider other options.”
Otto Addo is scheduled to touch down in Ghana this week for his official presentation. The event will include a meet and greet with the media, where Addo will discuss his vision and goals for the national team. Additionally, he will announce his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Mali on June 6th and the Central African Republic on June 10th, 2024.
As the Black Stars gear up for these crucial matches, all eyes will be on Otto Addo as he looks to lead Ghana to success on the international stage once again. Let us give him the support and patience he needs to excel in his role as head coach.
