Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been hailed by former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, as Ghana’s “savior.”
The articulated vision that Dr. Bawumia gave on Wednesday, February 7, was praised by Allotey Jacobs, who stated that it contains the key to furthering the prosperity of the country.
As a presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia has promised to eliminate the E-Levy and the betting tax, among other taxes.
In addition, he declared that he would digitize the passport office to speed up passport issuing, grant tax amnesty to people and companies, and make national service optional.
To forward his digitalization agenda for national growth, he has also suggested the “1 student, 1 laptop” program.
Allotey Jacobs emphasizes his conviction that the Vice President is the answer to Ghana’s economic problems and sees Dr. Bawumia’s program as a ray of light for the impoverished.
Thus, he argued that the Vice President is the one who can rescue Ghanaians from their financial bind.
“During difficult economic times and uncertain global circumstances, countries need a champion, and in Ghana, that champion is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” Allotey Jacobs stated during a Peace FM interview.
