Alexander Plantagenet Cary, Master of Falkland, is an English scriptwriter, producer, and former soldier. He was born on 1 February 1963.
Cary was born in Hammersmith, London, to Caroline Butler and Lucius Cary, the 15th Viscount of Falkland. Cary is the next in line to succeed his father as Viscount of Falkland, the most senior viscountcy in Scotland, who is an elected hereditary peer (created in 1620 by Scottish King James VI).
Actors André Morell and Joan Greenwood were Cary’s neighbors when he was growing up in Chelsea, London. Since he was twelve years old, he has known that he wants to work in the film industry.
