The verdict ends the circus-like trial for the conspiracy theorist who has consistently maintained that the massacre of 2012 was a hoax.

A jury in Austin, Texas, decided on Thursday that InfoWars conspiracy theorist Alex Jones must pay $4.1 million dollars to the parents of a child killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
Jones referred to the shooting as (a gigantic hoax) and claimed that the victims were merely actors employed in a false flag anti-gun attack.
The parents of a six-year-old who was killed in the shooting, Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, sued Jones for defamation and asked for $150 million dollars in compensation.
The jury will have to also decide whether to grant the parents punitive damages in addition to the $4.1 million dollars in compensatory damages. On Friday (August 5), the jury will hear a testimony related to that topic.
