Alejandro Garnacho Ferreyra (born July 1, 2004) is a professional footballer who currently plays for Premier League club Manchester United as a winger. He is an Argentina youth international who was born in Spain. Garnacho joined Manchester United’s youth system in October 2020 after leaving Atlético Madrid. In May 2022, he won the FA Youth Cup and the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award. He had made his first-team debut against Chelsea in the Premier League a month before, at the age of 17. Garnacho represented Spain at the under-18 level before making his Argentina debut at the under-20 level in 2022. He has been called up to Argentina’s senior squad but has yet to play.

He switched his shirt number from 75 to 49 for the start of the 2022-23 Premier League season. On 4 October 2022, he scored a late winner for Manchester United U21 against Barrow in the 2022-23 EFL Trophy. After making brief substitute appearances against Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford, and Real Sociedad, Garnacho made his first senior start for United on 27 October, in a 3-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Europa League, where he was praised by manager Erik ten Hag, who stated that while he was previously dissatisfied, he is happy with his improved attitude and resilience. He scored his first goal as a senior on November 3 in a Europa League game against Real Sociedad. On November 13, he scored an injury-time winner against Fulham to score his first goal in the Premier League.
