Alberto Radius was an Italian guitarist, singer-songwriter, arranger, and record producer who died on February 16, 2023.
Aside from his solo work, he is well-known as a member of the band Formula 3 and for his collaborations with notable musicians such as Lucio Battisti and Franco Battiato.

Together with Toni Cicco and Gabriele Lorenzi, Radius founded the band Formula 3 in 1969. Under Lucio Battisti’s direction, the group enjoyed notable success for a while.
He also started working with Battisti frequently, playing the guitar in the majority of his old-timey compositions. He released his first solo album, Radius, in 1972. Demetrio Stratos, Vince Tempera, and his former Premiata Forneria Marconi bandmates Franz Di Cioccio and Giorgio Piazza all made appearances on the album as special guests.
