American multiple award-winning movie producer and legend Alan Ladd Jr. has passed away. He died on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the age of 84.
Ladd Jr. won a Best Picture Oscar for Braveheart and commissioned George Lucas to write Star Wars.
He was a longtime executive for Fox and MGM, and is known for producing movies such as Gone Baby Gone, The Phantom, The Man in the Iron Mask, and An Unfinished Life.

“Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed. His impact on films and filmmaking will live on in his absence,” she added.
Ladd Jr.’s brother David Ladd also added in a Facebook post: “My brother, my friend, my hero, who always stood by my side. We will stand together again on the other side! I love you Laddie.”
