Yaw Buaben Asamoa, a prominent member of the Movement for Change (M4C), has revealed that Alan Kyerematen has been endorsed as the presidential candidate by the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC) for the upcoming December elections.
The ARC was officially launched in Accra on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, with the goal of bringing together various political entities, movements, and individuals. The aim is to foster collaboration among these groups in preparation for the 2024 general elections.
Speaking to Umaru Sanda Amadu on Eyewitness News on Citi FM, Mr. Asamoa emphasized that Mr. Kyerematen will be the candidate representing the alliance, but will campaign in his capacity as the leader and founder of the M4C.
He also mentioned that the alliance is open to anyone seeking to move beyond the traditional dominance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to Mr. Asamoa, entities, movements, and individuals that join the alliance will still retain their unique identities. “The Alliance has endorsed Mr. Alan Kyerematen as the presidential candidate. The ARC is a coalition that welcomes others to join… No one will lose their core identity, but they will all align with the principles of the ARC… Mr. Kyerematen will be the candidate for the alliance while campaigning as the leader and founder of M4C,” he explained.
